Debra Weaver Debuts Gallery of Denim Portraits at Melrose Trading Post

Fashion Design Alumna Debra Weaver is a senior level designer and product developer in the women's market. She has expanded her expertise into art and is debuting her new gallery of Reclamation-101 denim portraits this weekend at the Melrose Trading Post at Fairfax and Melrose.

Her artwork, made from recycled denim, will be found in space 47 on Sunday at the renowned market that’s been in operation for the last 20 years. Audrey Hepburn, James Dean, and a Warhol inspired French bulldog are just some of the subjects of the designer's work.

The market is known to serve as an incubator to promote small community businesses and budding entrepreneurs, many of them professional artists, by providing affordable retail opportunities in a prime, high-traffic location.

Every Sunday, more than 5,000 people visit Melrose Trading Post, which is consistently listed as a top LA destination by tourist sites and featured in publications and media worldwide.
